Hayley Orrantia is the American actor, singer and songwriter. Her most well-known roles can be Erica Goldberg who stars in "The Goldbergs," a comedy TV show. Her primary focus is as the performer. According to her, music is the first thing that interests her. It's something she has been dabbling at since she was 9 years old. By the time she reached age 12 she was taking music seriously enough to begin studying professionally. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. And the rest is history. Orrantia is a native of the USA but has Hispanic roots. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and never lived in Mexico she's very proud of her Hispanic culture. To keep it, she has learned Spanish and has written songs that are in Spanish. 'Hasta Verte' a song that she wrote in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia was chosen to be an audition for The X Factor's first season during the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia, who was initially selected through YouTube videos and received four "yeses," from judges at Seattle in the live audition stage. The first time she auditioned, she was in the show "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. But, three other female vocalists as well as her were put together to audition for the remaining tracks. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live performances.
